HOBBS, N.M. – University of the Southwest downed Huston-Tillotson 25-12, 22-25, 26-24, 25-23 on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at the Maddox Student Life Center.

The tandem of seniors
Ashley Preuss and
Shelby Bartley kept HTU (17-6, 9-2 RRAC) off balance.

Preuss finished with a team-high 13 kills and added two solo blocks and an assisted block. Meanwhile, Bartley added 10 kills and a solo and assisted block.

Jennifer Garcia put constant pressure on the HT's defense as well as putting multiple stops to HT's offense with effective and perfectly-timed blocks," added Franke.

Brenda Pargas added 22 assists and four digs and a kill.

Miranda Tapia chipped in with six kills and six digs.

Karina Grajeda added 17 digs from the libero position.

USW (11-12, 6-5 RRAC) returns to action next week at Southwestern Christian and a RRAC contest at Langston.
