Team Policies:
  • All Student-Athletes are to train during assigned team times.
  • Coaches are responsible for their athletes in the weight room at all times.
  • Use of the weight room by student-athletes must occur during assigned lifting times. No Exceptions!
  • Teams are responsible to leave the weight room clean and all weights racked.

Weight Room Attire:
  • Shirts, shorts/athletic pants, athletic shoes, and proper attire must be worn at all times.
  • Shirts must be worn at all times.
  • No Jeans, hats or jewelry.

Weight Room Rules:
  • Student-athletes must be supervised by a Strength Coach that is employed with USW at all times.
  • NO person is allowed to use the facility without a spotter.
  • Rack all weights after usage.
  • Dumbbells should be returned to rack in proper order immediately after use.
  • Only bumper plates may be used on platforms. NO metal weights.
  • Only Silver Bars are to be used on the platforms.
  • Weights are not to be rested on benches.
  • Do not stand on benches.
  • Wipe down bench and/or station when finished.
  • Do not touch the mirrors.
  • NO food or tobacco products are allowed in the Weight Room.
  • Do not spit on the floor.
  • Music selection and volume will be monitored by the supervisor and/or coach.

Failure to Comply with Above Rules:
  • First offense student-athlete will lose weight room privileges for that day.
  • Second offense student-athlete will lose weight room privileges for a week.
  • Third offense student-athlete will lose weight room privileges for a semester.


*Any damage to any equipment associated with the weight room will be paid for by the student-athlete that caused the damage.
