FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of the Southwest volleyball team closed out the RRAC/SAC Crossover with a 25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

Shelby Bartley really stepped up and led the team not only defensively at the net, but dominated on offense."
Bartley collected eight kills to go along with five blocks.
Ashley Preuss added seven kills, two digs and an assist.
Torie Joiner played exceptionally well and added six kills and two blocks while collecting a .500 hitting percentage.
Karina Grajeda came through with a team-high nine kills and collected five digs.
Brenda Pargas produced well from her customary setter position. The El Paso, Texas product recorded a match-high 25 assists, five digs and assisted on one block.
Miranda Tapia, an NCAA Division I transfer from Mississippi Valley State University, added 13 assists and nine digs.
Corina Madrid recorded a team-high 15 digs.
As a team the Lady Mustangs recorded 46 kills and committed 24 errors to finish with a .149 hitting percentage. Conversely, the Aggies added 48 kills and committed 27 errors to finish with a .145 hitting percentage.
USW dominated in front of the net and out-blocked OPSU 10-6.
The Lady Mustangs also played in the early-morning session and dropped a 25-12, 25-19, 25-18 decision to Texas Wesleyan University.
Grajeda finished with a team-high nine kills and two blocks, while Pargas added 21 assists.
Hannah Massey chipped in with five kills, while Bartley added five kills and a block. Madrid recorded a team-high six digs.
USW (2-2) returns to action with a pair of exhibitions (UTPB, Odessa College) August 22 and officially kickoff their 2017 home schedule Wednesday, August 23 versus Wayland Baptist University.
