SAN ANTIONIO, Texas – Senior Shelby Bartley scored eight kills and finished with a .300 hitting percentage, however, University of the Southwest lost in straight sets 25-15, 25-22, 25-16 at Our Lady of the Lake Friday evening in Red River Athletic Conference competition.
 
Senior Ashley Preuss added six kills and four digs.
 
Junior Corina Madrid contributed three kills, three digs and a solo and assisted block. Fellow junior Hannah Massey added two kills and sophomore Brenda Pargas chipped in 11 assists and six digs. Miranda Tapia, also a junior, added nine assists and three digs.
 
USW (4-10, 0-3 RRAC) returns to action Saturday at Huston-Tillotson.
