DURANGO, CO---The Mustang Men's Basketball program took to the road for their 2nd straight NCAA Division 2 opponent on Wednesday evening. The Mustangs took on Fort Lewis College and fell 102-86. The loss brings USW's record to 4-5 on the season.
"We lost to a very tough and physical basketball team. Fort Lewis out hustled and out worked us. They did all the little things to get the win. We have a lot to clean up before conference but I know the guys will be locked in and continue to work hard. Now it's time to focus on Highlands. They are very talented and it will be another tough challenge." said Head Coach

The Mustangs had 3 players in double-figures on the night. Senior
Joshua Harris led all USW scorers with 16 points on 5-10 shooting in 28 minutes of play. Harris was 6-10 from the FT-line and had 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Sophomore
Nathaniel White had his best game of the season as he had 11 points in 17 minutes. White had 4 assists , 1 rebound and 1 steal. True freshman
Alex Pena scored 11 points on 4-7 shooting in his return to his home state of Colorado.
USW shot 50.8% from the field and 45% (9-20) from beyond the arc. The back breaker was their 48.1% (13-27) from the free-throw line as a team.
The Mustangs will host NCAA Division 2 opponent New Mexico Highlands on Saturday afternoon. The game will be streamed live through Mustang TV.
