TEXARKANA, TX---The Lady Mustangs got the revenge they were looking for on Friday afternoon as they took down the 2nd seeded LSU-Alexandria Lady Generals in the semifinals of the 2019 RRAC Tournament. Despite an early goal from LSU-A in the 4th minute, the Lady Mustangs fought back and scored 2 goals in the 1st half to take the lead. 

RRAC Offensive Player of the Year Priscilla Garcia evened up the score in the 27th minute as she dribbled around the charging goalie and kicked one into the back of the net. USW would take the lead right before halftime as sophomore, and 1st Team All-Conference selection Kimberly Nevarez drilled one past the keeper.. USW would hold LSU-A to only 1 second half shot on net and secured the victory and a berth into the Championship game. 

"Team effort is all I can say. I am extremely proud of the girls today and how they dealt with adversity. We started off a bit flat, but that wasn't stopping us from doing what we do. The girls held their own and fought the entire game. On a stage like this, every little thing matters and waht they did today was very impressive. To make it to a championship game the way we did is something very special and we are excited to compete to be the best team in the conference. We have a huge opportunity tomorrow and I know that this team will do everything they can to bring something home with them tomorrow. But for now, we have some work to finish" said Head Coach D'Angelo Garcia. 

Tomorrow's Championship game is scheduled for 5:00 PM CST. The match will be streamed online.
