MARSHALL, TX---The Lady Mustangs continued their 2-game road trip Saturday afternoon as they traveled to Marshall, TX to take on the RRAC leading Wiley College Wildcats. The Mustangs were coming off a Friday night victory over Jarvis Christian in which the Mustangs dominated the match from start to finish, not allowing the Bulldogs to reach the 20 point mark in either of the three sets.
USW battled tough in all 4 sets of the match, but unfortunately came up just short as they were defeated 3-1 (25-22; 24-26; 25-20; 25-16).

Freshman
Martinique Larvingo had a season-high 12 kills on the afternoon which led the Mustangs offensively. The Bloomfield, NM native also had 2 blocks and 2 digs in the match.
Sarah Marquez and
Dylann Bylund were busy all afternoon as they both racked up double-digit assists in the loss. Bylund had 14 assists, 3 digs, 2 blocks and 1 kill. Marquez dished out 18 assists to go along with 6 digs.
The Lady Mustangs are back at home this Tuesday for the start of a 4-game home stand that goes from September 24th until October 5th. USW takes on Wayland Baptist (Sept. 24), Texas College (Sept. 28), Huston-Tillotson (Oct. 3) & OLLU (Oct. 5) as part of their 4-game home stand.
