ALEXANDRIA, LA---The USW Men's Soccer program competed in the quarterfinal of the RRAC tournament on Friday afternoon. This was the first appearance in the RRAC tournament since 2018. The Mustangs would fall to the Generals 2-0, ending their 2021 spring schedule. 

"This wasn't the ending that we were expecting but I am extremely proud of the guys. They made a huge sacrifice relocating to Sky Ranch. We had some brilliant moments this year and I truly believe that we earned respect from teams in the conference this year. Last year not making the tournament really hurt. I think we are moving in the right direction as a program and I am excited to be the head coach of this program and this group of men. It was a season to remember for sure" said Head Coach Edgar Negrete. 

The Mustangs had 5 shots on net and never really got much going offensively. LSU-A scored an early goal in the 12th minute and added their 2nd goal in the 62nd minute. 

The Mustangs finished the season 3-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in conference play.
