Southwest University capped off a dominant weekend with back-to-back wins over Navajo Technical University, with victories of 125-22 on November 7 and 127-41 on November 9 at the Jack & Mabel Student Life Center.
In the first game, Southwest jumped out to an explosive start, leading 70-19 by halftime and maintaining relentless pressure throughout. The team shot an impressive 62.0% from the field and showcased a balanced attack led by James Evans, who went 11-for-12 to score 22 points. Caleb Wilson contributed 16 points on near-perfect shooting, while Rahkiem Petterson commanded the court with 8 assists. Southwest's defensive intensity forced Navajo Technical into 41 turnovers, allowing them to dominate every phase of the game​.
The second game saw Southwest elevate their shooting efficiency even further, hitting 74.0% of their shots and 41.7% from beyond the arc. Kevin Boone was exceptional, scoring 23 points on 11-for-13 shooting, while Steven Masini provided a strong presence in the paint with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Southwest's defensive prowess again proved effective, restricting Navajo Technical to just 33.3% shooting and forcing 26 turnovers. The team's deep rotation was on full display, with ten players scoring 9 or more points.
