I thought overall our kids showed pretty good energy all weekend. Of course it wasn't the result we wanted, but I thought our kids fought well. I though our offense was good all weekend, and we played decent defense. We just didn't pitch it well, and you can't beat top 25 caliber teams without good pitching. We must find a way to be tougher on the mound mentally as we just either gave up too many free passes or missed spots all weekend. We have shown that we can score runs, now it's up to me as the head coach to find a way to correct what has been happening to us on the mound. 
 
Game 1 
The Mustangs matched up with a highly talented University of Science of Arts team dropping the first game 20-13. In game 1 the Mustangs battled each inning collecting 17 hits in the game. Every guy in the starting lineup had at least one hit in game 1. However, Kevin Rase went 3-4 on the day with 2 Rbi and Santiago Garcia went 2-3 with a homerun and 2 RBI. Carlos Jaquez-Munoz also left the yard in game 1 and had 5 RBI. A.J. Cordova got the start. Ian Swearingen, Taymon Burrola, Jesus Rivas and Ian Clements each made an appearance in the ball game. 
Game 2 
Looking to take one on the day the Mustangs fell short in the late innings to lose 7-6. Carlos Jaquez- Munoz drove in 3 of the 6 runs while going 2-4 with a homerun. Carson Miller went 2-3 and scoring a run. Kobe Carpio got the start going 5 innings striking out 2. Miguel Olivas made an appearance and unfortunately took the loss. Angel Rios also made an appearance going 1.1 innings giving up 2 hits with 0 runs. 
Game 3 
The Mustangs looking to not get swept for the first time this season fell in the finale 22-10. They collected 16 hits on the day. Ayden Ramos went 2-4 and hit is first home run as a Mustang. Hayden Woods went 2-3 with 2 Rbi and a walk. Santiago Garcia also went 3-4 on the day. Isaac Baeza got the start going 4.1 innings. Chisum Rush, Taymon Burrola, Angel Rios, Tavares Tims and Jeffery Mathis each made an appearance in game 3.
