Hobbs, NM- The USW volleyball team had their home opener this evening against NCAA Division 3 McMurry University out of Abilene, Texas.  

The lady Mustangs did not have their best showing today on their home court, dropping all three sets to McMurry and losing the match 0-3. 

"We defiantly did not come out with the energy and intent for being the first match of the season" head coach Cass Smith stated after the loss today. The girls should've performed more as one unit instead of individual bodies and going into our next game learn how to play as one unit, fix our inconsistency's, and control the mental part of the game." Coach Cass stated what the team can learn from this first game.  

The lady mustangs will be back in action on Friday September 13th here at home against their first conference opponent Louisiana Christian University at 7:00 PM.
