After starting the season 2-0-0 the men take a bad loss to NCAA Division 2 opponent Sul Ross 0-3.  

The men's team were virtually non-existent in the loss to Sul Ross with them controlling the game from the start and never looking back while the mustangs struggled to put anything good together throughout the 90 minutes (about 1 and a half hours) of play. 

"We were not ready for the tougher completion, they wanted it more and beat us in every aspect of the game scoring, defense, ball handling, aggressiveness, and mental toughness. Overall, a disappointing performance from the men's team" said head coach Negrete.  

The mustangs have the next week off from games but are back in action with their conference opener against receiving votes Xavier University of Louisiana on September 19th at home.
