HOBBS, NM. -- The University of the Southwest men's soccer team returns home this Thursday with eyes on redemption, as the Mustangs host LSU Shreveport at 3:30 p.m. (MT) at the Bob Moran Soccer Field.

Southwest enters the match following a tough road outing at Xavier on September 27, where the Mustangs battled hard, but got cut short due to a suspension of the match. With that result, the Mustangs sit at 1-3-1 overall, 0-1-0 in Red River Athletic Conference play.

The Pilots of LSU Shreveport bring momentum into Thursday's match, riding a solid start to conference play and a recent 4-0 home victory over North American. LSU Shreveport sits 4-0-5 overall and 2-0 in conference. 

Historically, Southwest has struggled in this matchup as the Pilots have defeated the Mustangs 3-1 in their last meeting on October 17, 2024, maintaining a seven-game winning streak in the series. 

Following Thursday's showdown, Southwest remains at home for a Saturday contest against North American University, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. (MT).
