Hobbs, N.M. -- The University of the Southwest Mustangs delivered a high-performance second-half to secure a 2-2 draw against Louisiana Christian on Saturday at Bob Moran Soccer Field.
After trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Mustangs responded with urgency and precision.
Franklin Lagos opened the scoring for Southwest in the 48th minute, finishing off a well-placed assist from
Nicolas Amparan. The equalizer came in the 85th minute when
Hiram Chavez netted his first goal of the season unassisted, capping off a determined comeback effort.

Stephen Chairez anchored the defense with five saves, including several key stops in the first half to keep the Mustangs within reach.
