Head Coach Steve Appel
"We finally found a way to put all three facets of the game together for most of the three-game set and found a way to sweep on the road. I still think we could have executed a little more offensively, especially with runners in second and less than two outs, but playing on the road at Jarvis is a tough place to hit sometimes. If we can continue to throw strikes, play good defense, and execute the small things offensively, we can finish off this year strong. Hopefully sweeping on the road gives these guys some good confidence going into the home stretch, and we have to find a way to take this next series at home next weekend before our long road stretch."
The Mustangs will continue play on Tuesday in a non-conference doubleheader at Wayland Baptist.
