Stevie Guerra joined the University of the Southwest Baseball program in January 2021. Guerra is from the Central Valley, Dos Palos, California. During his time back home Guerra played JUCO ball at West Hills College in Coalinga CA. After playing his years in JUCO ball, Guerra received a Varsity Head job at Tranquillity High. During the summer Guerra runs an organization based out of the Central Valley called The Backyard Boys. The BYB squad attends some of the top showcases state to state. Over the years the BYB squad has had players attending Stanford, Oregon, Fresno State, and Fresno Pacific.
Here at USW Guerra works with Hitters, Infielders, and coaches first base. In his first year with the Mustangs Guerra's infield squad set school records in fielding percentage. They continue to set school records. Stevie was also part of Coach Appel's first conference tournament win. He has now been a part of 3 conference tournament wins with Appel.
