Born on December 13, 2005, Kanyon grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico, where he developed his passion for sports. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 2024, earning multiple accolades in athletics. He is the son of Charles and Sheila Johnson and has a close bond with his sibling, Carter.
Throughout high school, Kanyon showcased his athletic abilities, becoming a five-time varsity letterman (2021-2024). He also earned Second Team All-District honors in football (2024) and was recognized with the Golden Eagle Award (2024) for his dedication and performance.
Now majoring in Kinesiology & Exercise Science, Kanyon aspires to pursue a career in physical therapy, combining his love for sports with helping athletes recover and perform at their best. His favorite athlete is Nate Lowe, and he proudly supports the Texas Rangers. Off the field, he enjoys a cheeseburger as his go-to meal.
One of Kanyon’s favorite sports memories is the bus rides coming home after wins, cherishing the camaraderie and excitement with his teammates.
