Born on July 12, 2003, Santiago grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was raised by his supportive parents, Benjie and Barbara Garcia. He shares a close bond with his siblings, Matias and Joaquin Garcia, who have been part of his athletic journey.
Santiago graduated from Valley High School in 2021, where he made a name for himself on the baseball field. He has since continued his athletic and academic career, majoring in Finance with the goal of becoming a Financial Advisor.
A fan of Jordy Nelson and the Milwaukee Brewers, Santiago takes his pregame routine seriously—fueling up with a honeybun before stepping onto the field. One of his proudest baseball moments was hitting a walk-off to win the state championship in high school, a memory that continues to drive him forward.
In 2024, Santiago earned a Gold Glove award, showcasing his defensive excellence. Off the field, he enjoys prime rib and has a unique hidden talent—solving a Rubik’s cube with ease.
