Catarina Garcia enters her second season as the Graduate Assistant for the Women’s Basketball team.
In her first year with the Mustangs she assisted in leading the Lady Mustangs to an 8-19 record and finishing 7th in the RRAC.
She graduated from Lorenzo High School in Lorenzo, TX in 2012. From there she went to play for Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kansas for two seasons (2012-2014). She transferred to the University of the Southwest in 2016 where she played for her last two years. She was named on the 2017-2018 RRAC All-Conference Second Team and 2018-2019 RRAC All-Conference Honorable Mention and All-Champions of Character Team.
Garcia graduated in 2019 from the University of the Southwest with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology. She is currently working on her Master of Science in Education- Exercise Science.
