HOBBS, N.M. – University of the Southwest outshot Dallas Christian 65-4 and rolled past Dallas Christian 8-1 Saturday afternoon at Bob Moran Soccer Field.
In the first half, the Mustangs outshot the Crusaders 28-2.
Ioan Muresan opened the scoring at 28:25 and drilled a line drive from 30 yards out. About 10 minutes later
Ibis Armendariz netted his first goal of the season when he put back a rebound into the open net and the Mustangs went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
In the first half, USW outshot DCC 28-2.
The flood gates opened in the second half of action.

Maximilian Naranjo scored from 10 yards as the Mustangs added to their lead. At 55:44
Fernando Sanchez scored on a perfectly-timed header and at 63:01 Naranjo netted his second goal of the game to push the Mustangs' lead to 5-0.

Allan Navarro and
Ian Kesterson netted goals and Muresan scored his second goal of the contest.
Muresan added 15 shots, four of which were on goal. Navarro recorded 13 shots, five of which were on goal.
USW opens Red River Athletic Conference play Thursday afternoon against Wiley.
