HOBBS, N.M. – University of the Southwest men's basketball jumped out to a 48-29 first-half lead en route to a 95-72 thrashing of Langston (11-6, 5-4 RRAC) Wednesday evening in Red River Athletic Conference action at the Maddox Student Life Center.

Marcelious Green led a potent offensive attack with a game-high 28 points on 11-for-20 shooting from the floor. He also hauled a game-high seven rebounds.

For the game, USW (7-12, 4-5 RRAC) shot 50 percent (36-for-71) from the field, including a sterling 54 percent (17-for-31) from the floor in the second half.
The Mustangs return to the court Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and play host to Paul Quinn College at the Maddox Student Life Center.
