SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Our Lady of the Lake swept University of the Southwest softball 3-0 and 15-1 Friday afternoon in Red River Athletic Conference action.
In the series opener,
Madison Garcia pitched well and kept the Mustangs within striking distance. She tossed five innings and scattered eight hits, allowed three runs and no walks and struck out a batter.
MyKaya Olivas entered in relief and threw one inning and allowed two hits and two hits and allowed no runs.

Sarena Maynez, Gabrielle Heckmann and
Randee Garcia each picked up a hit for the Mustangs (3-9, 0-2 RRAC).

In game two, OLLU (10-3, 7-0 RRAC) used a 10-run third inning to put the contest out of reach and the game was called in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule.

Brianna Gonzalez batted 2-for-2 with a run scored and
Adrianna Silva added an RBI.

Gabrielle Heckman absorbed the loss. She tossed two and one-third innings and allowed 11 hits and six runs.
