TYLER, TX---The Lady Mustangs extended their winning streak to 5 on Friday night as they swept the Texas College Steers on the road. The ladies won the match in straight sets (25-14) (28-26) (25-21). The victory brings the Lady Mustangs record to 10-18 with a 6-4 record in conference which is tied for 3rd place. 

The Lady Mustangs once again used a balanced team attack to take down the Steers. Alexia Esparza led the team with 10 kills. Esparza also had 1 ace and 10 digs. Samantha Dreibelbis had a great game with 7 kills, 3 aces, 21 digs and 1 block. 

Dylann Bylund had 24 assists on the evening to go with 3 kills, 3 digs and 3 aces. 

Head Coach Katrina English is extremely proud of the girls and knows their best volleyball is ahead of them. " The positive energy and chemisty on and off the court is joyful to watch. The ladies are truly learning in every point of every set and this is a great time to see these big strides in growth being made. They are very hungry and still reaching for greatness. I am looking forward to what the future holds." 

The Lady Mustangs host their final two home matches of the year this week as they host Wiley College on Friday night and Jarvis Christian on Saturday afternoon.
