GOODWELL, OK---The Lady Mustangs took on host school Oklahoma Panhandle State on Saturday night in Game 4 of the 2019 Aggie Classic. The Lady Aggies took down the Lady Mustangs by the score of 87-56. The loss brings the Lady Mustangs record to 1-6 on the season.
USW kept it close in the 1st quarter as the Lady Mustangs were tied 12-12 with OPSU. Then the Lady Aggies got hot and exploded for 26 points in the 2nd quarter. OPSU used huge 2nd and 4th quarters to keep the lead out of reach for USW.
The Lady Mustangs had 3 players in double-figures.
Isabel Rodriguez had 16 points on 6-10 shooting and had 5 rebounds. 4 of Rodriguez's rebounds were on the offensive glass.
Mykal Thomas scored 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Elisa Gonzalez also had 12 points and 3 rebounds. Gonzalez was 6-10 from the FT line.
Cherlee Collins had 8 assists on the evening to lead the team. Collins also had 2 points, 3 steals and 3 rebounds.
USW travels to San Antonio on Monday to take on NCAA Division 1 opponent University of Texas-San Antonio in an Exhibition.
