USW 93---Crowley's Ridge (Ark.) 69

"We came out and couldn't miss" said Head Coach Devonte Brewer following Monday's victory. "We shot 13-26 from 3-PT land and had 6 players in double-figures. Shanyce (Cabrales) had her breakout game making 5 three-pointers. Isabel (Rodriguez) had another double-double. We are starting to step in and accept our roles as a team and are starting to come together. Rhianna (Bortoli) had 23 points which was great to see. It was a complete team effort and we are playing at a faster pace which is helping us score more. Defensively we still have some work to do, but we caused a lot of deflections and steals to help give us some more opportunities."

Rhianna Bortoli led all scorers with 23 points in a breakout performance for the Arizona native. Bortoli was 9-20 from the field and had 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 6 steals along the way. Isabel Rodriguez continued her streak of double-doubles as she had 12 points and 13 rebound. The El Paso also had 6 assists and 3 steals. Shanyce Cabrales scored a season-high 15 points all from 3-point range.

The Lady Mustangs had 16 steals on the afternoon and shot 47.7% from the field.

Harlei Haceesa was 3-7 from the field and 8-10 from the line to give her 16 points on the afternoon.

"It was a great way to finish off the first half of our season. We are really starting to see growth in what we are trying to do." said Head Coach Devonte Brewer. "The ball movement for our team is turning out great. We had 6 players in double-figures today. Isa (Isabel Rodriguez) had another double-double and we shot 45% from the field and from 3-pt land.
