SAN ANTONIO, TX---The Lady Mustang Softball program opened up their 2020 Red River Conference schedule on the road taking on Our Lady of the Lake. USW was swept by the Lady Saints in the 3-game series. 

OLLU won Game 1 by the score of 13-4. Despite the loss, this was one of the best offensive games for the young USW team. The Lady Mustangs had 8 hits as a team including 2 from Hannah Slaight. The 3rd basemen was 2-2 on the day with an RBI. 7 of the 9 starters in the lineup all had hits. Destiny Villegas was 1-3 with 2 RBI's. 

Game 2 of the series was won by OLLU 9-1. Freshman Paola Cordova was 2-2 with a run scored. Michaela Trevino drove in the only run of the game for the Lady Mustangs. Hannah Slaight came in relief on the mound in the 4th and threw a clean inning facing the minimum batters. 

The final game of the series lacked offense for USW. The Lady Mustangs only had 1 hit off the bat of Paola Cordova. 

USW hosts NCAA Division 3 Sul Ross State on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 1:00 PM MST.
