Lady Mustangs Roll Past HT with Back-to-Back Wins

Game 1: Southwest 12, Huston-Tillotson 2
Southwest came out swinging in the opener, piling up 12 runs on 11 hits in a 7-inning rout of Huston-Tillotson. Regan Burleson got the Lady Mustangs on the board early with a two-run home run in the first and finished with two RBIs and two runs scored. Mieya Andres went 2-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, and an RBI.

Freshman Haylee Hernandez stayed hot at the plate, collecting three hits, while Adrianna Nettles drove in two with a double. Alexis Belen was sharp in the circle, tossing a complete game shutout with seven strikeouts and allowing just four hits and no earned runs.

Game 2: Southwest 14, Huston-Tillotson 2
The offense didn't let up in the nightcap. Southwest erupted for 14 runs on 13 hits, breaking the game open with a five-run sixth inning. Elizabet Pinon led the charge with a perfect 3-for-3 effort, driving in three runs and scoring three times. Mieya Andres was once again a force, doubling twice and plating five runs.

Belen returned to the mound and picked up her second complete game of the day, limiting Huston-Tillotson to two runs (one earned) while striking out two over six innings. Southwest also stole five bases and took advantage of three HT errors to complete the sweep.
