METAIRIE, La. -- The University of the Southwest men's soccer match against XULA on Saturday at Lafreniere Park was suspended in the 42:32 minute following unsportsmanlike conduct on the field.

There is no further information available on whether this game will be resumed or when it will resume. 

The Mustangs trailed 0-2 after two goals from Xavier in the first half. However, play was halted before the final whistle after officials decided to suspend the match.

Southwest will regroup as it looks ahead to its home opener on October 2 against LSU Shreveport, followed by another home match on October 4 against Louisiana Christian. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (MT) for both matches.
