Coach Jarred Lewis enters his first year with the Mustangs.Lewis was born raised in Colorado where he was a 3-sport athlete in high school. He played JUCO baseball in Oregon and Colorado. Lewis finished his collegiate career at USW where he earned his Bachelors of Science Degree of Education and Minor in Psychology.
Coach Lewis has been involved in coaching softball and baseball for the last 15 plus years at the high school and collegiate level. He was an assistant baseball coach Hobbs High School for 13 years and assisted at New Mexico Junior College. He has been coaching travel softball for the last 20 years. Lewis also runs his own cage where he gives lessons. Lewis also played on the men’s fastpitch National Championship team the Ohio Battery.
Coach Lewis is currently a 9th grade teacher in Hobbs. Lewis is retired after 22 years with the Hobbs Fire Dept.
He and his wife, Staci, and have two children Addi and Jarren.Â
