HOBBS, N.M. – Huston-Tillotson netted a second-half goal and defeated University of the Southwest women's soccer 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Red River Athletic Conference action at Bob Moran Soccer Field.
Freshman
Raina Wesson nearly tied the game in the waning moments in the second half, but the to-be goal found the back of the net two seconds after the clock struck 0:00.
Overall, the match was evenly matched. The Rams (9-2, 4-2 RRAC) narrowly outshot the Mustangs (9-3, 3-3 RRAC) 8-7, however, USW upped its tempo in the second half and outshot HTU 4-3.
