DALLAS, Texas – Junior Jack Laurie netted a hat trick, including the game winner with three minutes remaining in the second half to lift University of the Southwest past Paul Quinn 3-2 Saturday afternoon in Red River Athletic Conference action.
 
"It's always going to be tough to play away in the middle of the under humid conditions," USW head men's soccer coach Robert Ssejjemba said. "But we managed to convert our chances."
 
It was a hard-fought game between the two programs, with a total of 23 fouls, 13 on PQC and 12 on USW.
 
PQC outshot USW 18-14, however, the Mustangs' offense opened it up in the second half held a 10-8 margin.
 
USW returns (2-2) returns to action Tuesday afternoon with a 3 p.m. tilt against UT-Permian Basin.
