Mykal Thomas scored a team-high 13 points on 6-for-14 shooting from the field, but No. 19 LSU Shreveport upended University of the Southwest women 69-58 in Red River Athletic Conference Thursday evening at the Maddox Student Life Center.

The Mustangs (3-15, 2-8 RRAC) shot the ball extremely well in the first half converting 68 percent (15-for-22) of their shots. However, the second half USW converted only 29 percent (9-for-31) of its shots and finished the game with a 45 percent (24-for-53) field goal percentage.

Jasmine Stansell each added 10 points. Wheatfall was 4-for-5 from the field, while Stansell went 5-for-6 from the floor.

Catarina Garcia added seven points and finished with a game-high seven rebounds. She also handed out three assists.
