Austin, Tx - After the first half of the Lady Mustangs game against Huston Tillotson, it would have been easy for them to just give up. Trailing 3-1 going into the second half the outcome didn't look too bright, but the Lady Mustangs fought through adversity and played with true heart to tie the game in the second half and go on to win in a double overtime thriller.
In the second half the Lady Mustangs came out with one thing in their mind, to win this game. Freshman
Kim Nevarez opened up the scoring in second half with a goal to cut the deficit 3-2. Then Senior
Karla Parra tied the game on a penalty kick. The game would eventually go to double overtime where Sophomore
Priscilla Garcia would find the back of the net for the game winning goal.Â
With the win, the Lady Mustangs improve to a 4-3 record in conference. They will travel to Louisiana next week to finish up their away schedule against LSUAÂ on October 18th and LSUSÂ on October 20th.
