Aaliyah Wheatfall scored a team-high seven points on 3-for-5 shooting from the floor, but Wiley College (11-11, 8-7 RRAC) defeated University of the Southwest women's basketball 69-31 Thursday afternoon in Red River Athletic Conference action.
As a team, USW (4-20, 3-13 RRAC) struggled to find a groove on offense.
AS a team, the Mustangs shot 23 percent (14-for-60) from the field, while Wiley connected on 48 percent (26-for-54) of its shots from the floor.
Junior
Catarina Garcia added six points and recorded three steals. Junior
Desiree Garza helped out with six points and hauled in a game-high nine rebounds.
Sophomore Teanika Rodgers and freshman
Jasmine Stansell each scored three points.
The Mustangs close out their road trip Saturday at Jarvis Christian.
