Catarina Garcia scored a team-high 15 points and the University of the Southwest women's basketball team powered past Huston-Tillotson 79-64 Thursday evening in Red River Athletic Conference at the Maddox Student Life Center.
USW (4-18, 3-11 RRAC) jumped on the Lady Rams early and opened up a 20-9 first quarter lead and went into halftime with a commanding 42-22 advantage.
The Mustangs would lead by as many as 23 points in the third quarter and closed out HT (11-7, 11-3 RRAC) in the fourth quarter.

Jasmine Stansell helped out with 14 points, while junior
Aaliyah Austin also contributed 14 points.
Aaliyah Wheatfall helped out with 10 points.
