SOUTH PLAINS, TX---The Mustang Cross Country program competed in the South Plains College Invitational over the weekend. This was the fourth meet of the season for USW.
"The Mustangs competed well at the South Plains College Invitational in Levelland, TX. I am excited about the progress both squads are making. We have two weeks of training before we head to Mid-States Classic in Winfield, KS on October 26th" said Head Coach
Jessica Becker on the progress of her team throughout the season.
The Men were led by freshman
Cody Smith who finished in 17th place with a time of 28:55.20. Senior Samuel Suarez finished with a time of 35:13.30.
Omar Gonzalez and
Nikolas Salazar rounded out the pack for the rest of the Mustang Men's said.
Lovington native
Edit Herrera finished in 23rd place with a time of 22:19.80.
Alexandria Adams followed just behind her with a time of 23:12.00. Veronica Bardot and
Jakeline Blea were the final two finishers for the Lady Mustangs.
