WBB: Wildcats too much for USW

MARSHALL, TX---USW continued their road trip on Saturday as they made the drive from Texarkana to Marshall to take on the Wiley College Lady Wildcats. The Wildcats downed the Lady Mustangs 90-74. The loss brings the Lady Mustang's record to 4-10 on the season and 1-4 in RRAC play. 

The Lady Mustangs went into the half down 45-35, but came out in the 3rd quarter with 21 points to cut the deficit to 5 heading into the final quarter of play. Unfortunately the Wildcats exploded for 29 points and put the game out of reach for USW. The Lady Mustangs shot 35.1% (27-77) from the field and 24.1% (7-29) from beyond the arc. 

Harlei Haceesa and Mykal Thomas led USW in scoring with 17 points each. Martinique Larvingo had 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Isabel Rodriguez recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and added 7 assists. 

The Lady Mustangs are home this week as they host Texas College on Thursday at 5:30 PM MST and Jarvis Christian on Saturday at 2:00 PM MST.
