WACO, Texas -- Alexia Esparza of University of the Southwest (N.M.) collected the RRAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week award for Feb. 8-14. USW's Sarah Marquez was selected as the RRAC Setter of the Week, and Autumn Lopez was named RRAC Defender of the Week for the same dates.

This is the third set of conference awards for the 2020 volleyball season, which is typically completed in the fall but was suspended to spring play this year.

Esparza powered in 22 kills as the Mustangs lost a pair of matches to Wayland Baptist University (Texas). The sophomore outside hitter from El Paso, Texas, averaged 3.1 kills per set to rank first in the conference in that category. She made 59 total attacks to build a .169 hitting percentage. USW started the season at 0-2. 

Marquez averaged 9.1 assists per set for the week. The sophomore setter from El Paso, Texas, accounted for 40 assists in the first match against WBU and finished with 64 for the week. Marquez also catapulted into the RRAC lead in assists per set. 

Lopez made 27 digs for the Mustangs last week. The junior libero from San Antonio, posted 16 digs in the first WBU match, and she committed only four errors in 58 receiving attempts. With 3.9 digs per set, Lopez leads the conference
