Game Recap: Softball | | Jacob Jarreau

SB: USW opens up conference play with OLLU

SAN ANTONIO, TX---The USW Softball program opened up their 2021 RRAC schedule with a series at Our Lady of the Lake University. The two teams competed in a 4-game series with the Lady Saints sweeping the 4-game series from the Lady Mustangs. 

USW kept things close in Game 1 until the bottom of the 6th inning when OLLU scored 2 runs to extend their lead to 3-0. The Lady Mustangs only mustered 3 hits in the contest. USW was then held to only 1 hit in Game 2 of the series. Michaela Trevino had the only hit in the game for USW. 

Day 2 saw the Lady Mustangs get run-ruled in both games. Aubrey Ramos was 2-2 in Game 3 and Serena Olivas scored the only run of the weekend. 

USW is in action on Monday, March 29th, against Texas A&M-San Antonio to start a 3-game conference series.
