Las Cruces, NM - The USW cross country season kicked off early on Saturday, Aug. 31 from Las Cruces New Mexico for the 2024 Lori Fitzgerald Memorial Open. Competing first, the women's team did not place due to not having enough girls in the race and on the men's side, they placed 9th as a team.
On the girl's side we had one runner Milinada Arguellez, and she ran a 27:41 5K.
On the Men's side we had 7 runners compete this past weekend with the top runner from USW Brendan Curtis running a 17:13.
Up next the cross-country teams will be traveling to Dallas to compete on Saturday September 14th.
