KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released its list of 2025 Scholar-Athletes for fall sports, honoring student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional achievement in both academics and athletics. The University of the Southwest fall sports recognized include women's soccer, men's soccer and men's cross country.
To earn this distinction, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on their sport's eligibility certificate and compete at least one full year at their institution. This year's honorees exemplify the highest standards of academic and athletic excellence.
With a total of 6,486 fall scholar-athletes being honored, women's soccer leads all fall sports with 1,606 Scholar-Athletes, followed by men's soccer (1,345) and men's cross country (558).
The Mustangs hold 16 of the 2025 NAIA Fall Scholar-Athlete spots.
