HOBBS, NM – The University of the Southwest Women's Soccer team has officially released its 2025 season schedule, set in alignment with the Red River Athletic Conference.
After closing out the 2024 campaign with a dominant 9-1 victory over Paul Quinn College, the Lady Mustangs are looking to carry that momentum into the new season
The 2025 season begins on August 21 with a road matchup against Oklahoma City University. The Stars are coming off an impressive run to the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals and will bring an early challenge to the Mustangs. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM MDT.Â
"We are very excited to finally get the schedule set and get to work," said Head Coach Edrian Negrete. "This team has a lot of potential and we're ready to compete."
Southwest's home debut will take place on August 26 with a scrimmage against NCAA Division II opponent Lubbock Christian University, 1:00 PM MDT.
Conference play begins with back-to-back road games on September 25 at LSU Alexandria and on September 27 at Xavier University, both set for 1:00 PM MDT.
The Lady Mustangs will return home the following week to host LSU Shreveport on October 2 and Louisiana Christian on October 4, each kicking off at 1:00 PM MDTÂ
Southwest then hits the road for contests against North American University on October 9 and the University of Houston-Victoria on October 11 before returning to Hobbs for a pivotal home stretch.
Four of the final five conference matchups will take place on the Mustangs' home field, which will be Our Lady of the Lake on October 16, Texas A&M University-San Antonio on October 18, Texas A&M University-Texarkana on October 23 and Jarvis Christian on October 25.
Each game will begin at 1:00 PM MDT.
The regular season wraps up on the road as the Lady Mustangs will travel to face Texas College on November 1, with kickoff set for 1:00 PM MDT.Â
