WACO, Texas – Selena Ornelas earned the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for March 13-19.
 
Ornelas captured the women's javelin title at the Southwestern Invitational. The junior from Lovington, N.M., launched her best throw 37.88 meters, surpassing 14 other competitors.
