The Mustangs started their 2025 campaign on a high note with a thrilling 6-4 victory over the Southwestern Chrisitan Eagles on Friday afternoon at The Jake. The Mustangs relied on a powerful third inning and strong pitching to secure the win.
Offensive Fireworks in the Third
After two scoreless innings, Southwest's offense came alive in the bottom of the third. Tim Sedillo got things started by reaching base after being hit by a pitch, advancing to third on a wild pitch and a single by Santi Garcia. David Amaya delivered the highlight of the inning with a triple that brought home two runs. A sacrifice fly from Hayden Woods and a clutch RBI double by Carson Miller capped the five-run frame, giving the Mustangs a commanding 5-0 lead.
