  • Pitching struggled, allowing six doubles and nine earned runs over six innings.

Game 2 (March 7) - Doubleheader Game 2

Final Score: Louisiana Christian 12, Southwest 7

Game 3 (March 8) - Series Finale

Coach's Thoughts

After the series, the Southwest Head Coach Steve Appel reflected on the team's performance and what needs to improve moving forward.

"We never really had the pitching to compete all weekend, and we didn't have the bats until Game 3. In the end, LCU came out and played harder and wanted to win more. I do give our guys credit for fighting in the third game. These road trips have always been a test for us, and hopefully, with some good practice this week, we can finish on a high note. We just have to find a way to trust each other and put all three facets together. We have to trust the process and keep fighting, and hopefully, we find ourselves playing our best baseball in the latter half of the conference schedule."
